SCC writes to the Queen regarding the campaign in Sudan. He writes that it would be too difficult to send troops to relieve Khartoum due to the heat and water supply issues. He reports that if General Charles Gordon is besieged, there are plenty of supplies in Khartoum and he was confident that he could accomplish his task without further troops.
