SCC writes to Sir Roundell to inform him that he is sending over some papers relating to the court martials of Fenian prisoners and how they ought to be conducted. He writes that under "Headlam's" interpretation it will be difficult to convict prisoners under court martial as the Fenian soldiers are attending meetings which fall under Civil Law. He informs Sir Roundell that he wants his opinion regarding how to treat an informer's evidence. Sent from: War Office, London, date stamped, 7 April.
