Mr Grey writes concerning the Irish Home Rule and the split of the Liberal Party enclosing a letter from Henry Hobhouse. He writes that it is proof of many similar letters that he has received in the last few hours giving support against the setting up of a representative Parliament in Dublin. He writes confirming that he has shown the letter to both Goschen and Grosvenor who think the memorial would be a good plan, providing it could gain at least 100 signatures. He further writes that if "proper discretion is used" then they would have no problem obtaining 100 signatures. Sent from: London. Enclosing with CS8/1913.
