Somerset writes to SCC to advise him that the system for the armament of the ships is not working as it is the responsibility of a Captain of artillery who may never have been on board the ship. Somerset suggests a change must be made and wants to speak with SCC regarding the issue. There is an endorsement written in red ink on the letter which reads "Duke of Somerset 28/2/66"System on which naval armament is now conducted [illegible] admiralty".
