SCC writes to his father regarding the election. He reports that of the people they canvassed, 4976 say they will vote for SCC and 3561 say they will vote for John Wilson-Patten and Hon. Frederick Stanley which leaves 4500 people they have not canvassed. He reports that he does not think he will win the election and that a second candidate will not do any good. He informs his father that he will go to London to discuss the issue with his friends who are keeping it quiet for the present. He requests his father's advice.
