Scope and Content

Mr Ramsden writes informing SCC of the outcome of his meeting with his constituents. He writes of the support for Gladstone in the district and the feeling that to differ from him "is deadly sin". He further writes giving his reasons for this including the close proximity to Leeds which is a "great centre for Gladstone enthusiasm" and the role played by the Leeds Mercury [newspaper].
