Sir Schomberg McDonnell writes concerning the Prince of Wales and the Baccarat case in particular the proposal that correspondence take place between the Prince of Wales and the Archibishop of Canterbury with a view to publication. He further writes that whilst not presuming to offer any advice on the matter, Lord Salisbury if asked on the matter would advise that in the circumstances "anything in the nature of a public statement or correspondence would not be judicious".
