SCC writes to his father that he has arrived in Berlin and is waiting for the entry of the army tomorrow. He reports that there are many events planned and the city has been decorated. He writes that the Prussian offices are impressive but may not have been as successful in the Austro-Prussian War if it had gone on for any longer. He informs his father that he has not been able to see Otto Von Bismarck as he is unwell but it is rumoured that it is an excuse to avoid the festivities. The corner of the letter is torn so there are parts of the letter missing on the third page. Sent from: Berlin, date stamped, 19 Sept.
