Scope and Content

Sir Dighton writes asking SCC's advice concering the Prince of Wales being asked to give land for a Methodist Chapel. He further writes that he is against the idea however recognises that "one must be careful about refusing such a request". He also writes that he believes religion is not "the real cause for the request" as there are limited numbers of non-conformists in the area of the proposed chapel.
