Correspondence between Nessie Stewart- Brown (1864-1958), local politician, and E.T. Scott, relating to the donation of busts by [John] Adams-Acton, sculptor, of [John] Bright, politician and [Richard] Cobden, manufacturer and politician, for the new offices of the Manchester Guardian. Also included is an expression of thanks for the donation, accompanied by a related internal memorandum, and a letter proposing the donation from [Cecil J.S.] Sprigge, journalist [nephew by marriage of Stewart Brown].
