Correspondence between (Alfred) Duff Cooper, first Viscount Norwich (1890-1954), diplomatist and politician and W.P. Crozier, relating to arrangements for meeting between Duff Cooper and Crozier for a private discussion of naval affairs.
Also included is correspondence relating to discussion of a request by Crozier that A[rthur] W[alter] James, journalist, be granted an exemption from conscription [during the Second World War], owing to his work with the A[uxiliary] F[ire] S[ervice] and his value as a leader writer on the Manchester Guardian at a time when the leader writing staff has been seriously depleted.
