Correspondence with Thomas Shaw, first Baron Craigmyle (1850-1937), lawyer and politician, relating to a request by Scott for articles by Shaw on the International Conference of the American Bar Association, and on his views on Anglo-American relations and opinion in America on their involvement with European affairs. Also included is a related internal memorandum. There is a request by Shaw for permission for articles written by him for the Manchester Guardian to be published in America, which is granted, with discussion of the repayment of [war] debt between the allies [of the First World War]. There is also a request that Scott and [C.E. Montague, journalist and writer] read and review [Darnley?] by Shaw when it is published, which is granted, and discussion of the position of the Liberal party.
