Correspondence with James M. Tuohy, journalist, relating to a request that Scott provide a message of good wishes for the success of the [Washington] disarmament conference [for publication in the New York World], which is granted. Also included is a letter of apology to [Herbert Bayard] Swope, editor and journalist for a mistake made by the [press association] in distributing articles by Michael Collins, Irish revolutionary and politician, and [George] Bernard Shaw, playwright and polemicist, which should have been offered exclusively to the New York World, owing to their agreement with the Manchester Guardian. There is an expression of thanks by Scott for the provision of a copy of the World Almanac for 1929.
