Also included is praise of a special article on Ireland in the Manchester Guardian in 1923, and a request to meet the correspondent, Stephen Gwynn.
Also included is discussion of the reparations to be paid by Germany [following the First World War], discussion of the provision of information on an unknown subject by Curtis to the London office of the Manchester Guardian, and reference to an inability to offer employment to Mr Dugdale [recommended by Curtis]. There is correspondence relating to Curtis' involvement with The Royal Institute for International Affairs, and its work in relation to China, and an invitation to Scott to visit the Institute.
There are also copies of correspondence between Curtis and Arthur Ransome, journalist and writer, relating to discussion of the political situation in China, and of the work of J[ohn] B[enjamin] Powell, correspondent on China for the Manchester Guardian.
