Correspondence with Harold Hobson, engineer and chairman of the Central Electricity Board, relating to discussion of an article by Hobson on the development of the [national] grid for publication in the Manchester Guardian, and an internal memorandum suggesting that it may be edited and rewritten by [James] Bone, journalist. Also included is a request for an advance copy of the Weir report [on main line railway electrification] for study prior to its release, and an enquiry as to the release of information on the price of the Scottish grid, and an offer to publish information on the subject from Hobson which may assist in public understanding.
