Correspondence between Sir (John Frederick) Neville Cardus (1888-1975), writer on cricket and music critic, and C.P. Scott and E.T. Scott relating to discussion of requests by Cardus to write articles for other newspapers whilst employed by the Manchester Guardian, which are refused.

Also included is a copy letter from C.P. Scott to [E.G.D.] Liveing, Director of the North Region for the BBC, relating to a request that Cardus be employed as a [radio] broadcaster for three cricket matches, which is refused.
