Correspondence with Bertram Christian, publisher, relating to discussion of an agreement for the publication of a book entitled Indian Politics by [John Tudor] Gwynn, civil servant in India, consisting of letters commissioned by the Manchester Guardian, with reference to editing, royalties, costs, circulation in India and, later, also the potential production of a cheaper edition. There are also internal memoranda with James Bone discussing the subject.

There is correspondence relating to a request for an introduction to the book to be written by Lord James Scorgie Meston, first Baron Meston, administrator in India.
