Also included is discussion of a complaint by Woodward regarding the coverage in the Manchester Guardian of a speech by [Jan Christian] Smuts, prime minister of South Africa and army officer, on the Imperial Conference, 1923, with reference to the policy of the Liberal party towards the Dominions.
