Scope and Content

Letter from Charles Birch Crisp(1867-1958), financier, relating to the provision of a copy of a private letter between Crisp and [Richard Burdon] Haldane [Viscount Haldane], politician, which Crisp feels is representative of the view of many Liberals.

Also included is the letter between Crisp and Haldane, containing an enquiry by Crisp as to a potential approach to Lord [Edward] Grey, viscount and politician, at a luncheon of the National Liberal Club, for clarification on his views on the Treaty of Versailles and the relations between England and France.
