There is discussion of an article by Scott on the invasion of the Ruhr, and disagreement with Arthur's suggestion that the article expresses pro-German sentiment.

Also included is correspondence relating to Arthur's claims of editorial bias in a review of a book written by Arthur, which was published in the Manchester Guardian.
