Scope and Content

Correspondence relating to the Manchester Guardian Weekly, including multiple examples of queries as to the absence of the cartoons from the foreign press, which requests for this segment to be reinstated.

Also included are internal memoranda relating to discussion of the division of labour between staff for the trade and finance sections, the format and location of the foreign cartoons, restrictions in the use of article by a correspondent from Rome, whose articles also appear in the Frankfurter Zeitung, the printing and re-printing of letters to the editor from the Manchester Guardian daily paper, the difficulties encountered in the printing of the paper in order to catch the foreign post, and discussion of securing the parliamentary sketch for the weekly paper.
