Scope and Content

Correspondence with Edward Hilton Young, first Baron Kennet (1879-1960), politician and writer, relating to a complaint by Young regarding inaccurate statements made in an article in the Manchester Guardian regarding a visit by Hilton Young to Iraq to investigate the country's financial system. Also included is an apology from Scott, and assurances that a correction of the article will be printed in the paper. There is also an internal memorandum discussing Young, and his previous work and experience.
