Scope and Content

Correspondence with B.J. Creham and W.P. Crozier, relating to a request to be considered for employment by the Manchester Guardian, with discussion of the potential of Creham's receipt of a scholarship for study in Paris and an introduction to the Paris correspondents of the Manchester Guardian, and of arrangements for a four week trial for Creham at the Manchester Guardian. There are also internal memoranda relating to Creham and to his trial employment. There is a letter of recommendation for Creham from C.H. Reilly, professor and architect.

Also included is correspondence between Crozier and A.P. McDougall, the Daily Herald, and W[illiam] Haley, the Manchester Evening News, relating to enquiries as to potential employment for Creham. There are letters of recommendation for Creham from Crozier for posts at the Co-operative College and the Merseyside Hospitals Council. There is correspondence relating to Creham having secured employment as publicity officer for the Merseyside Hospitals Council, and a letter of congratulation from Crozier.
