Fox was born on 3 May 1925 and was educated at Chadderton Grammar School and the University of Manchester. After qualifying, Fox was house physician at MRI, medical officer for the RAF and house physician at Crumpsall Hospital Manchester. He died, aged 33, on 26 May [1958?].
