Administrative / Biographical History

MB ChB Aberdeen 1900, DPH 1903.

After graduating, Fraser served in the Boer War. After taking his DPH in 1903, Fraser acted as assistant medical officer of health for Wigan before being appointed medical officer of health and certifying factory surgeon for Orrell where he remained until his death on 14 July 1947. Fraser was also consultant surgeon for Wigan Royal Infirmary and honorary medical referee for the National Hospital for Consumption, Ventnor. Fraser was a member of the Society of Medical Officers of Health and was president of the Wigan Branch of the BMA.
