Administrative / Biographical History

LRCP LRCS Edin, LRFPS Glasgow 1889.

Corns studied at Owens College Manchester, after which he served with the RAMC. During this time Corns embalmed the body of the Prince Imperial, son of Empress Eugenie, who had been killed by the Zulus in ambush in 1879. He was a successful practitioner in Ashton-under-Lyne for over forty years and was a founder of the Ashton District Medical Society.
