Administrative / Biographical History

Bennet was a surgeon in Chapel-en-le-Frith, as were his two sons, John Bennet and Edward Bennet. He was surgeon to Lord Wilton's Regiment of Royal Lancashire Volunteers and when the regiment was disbanded commenced practice in Chapel-en-le-Frith.
