      1 volume Condition: Excellent, apart from some brown stains. Entirely free from worm damage. Note, however, that the area within printing frame of each folio has been cut out and pasted on to new backing paper of larger size, thus allowing wider margins. No indication of date of this re-backing. Impression: Fair, but type shows distinct signs of wear in places. Seals of ownership: None. Manuscript notes: Kunten and kaeriten in black, and a few scattered shubiki and kutōten in red, added throughout text c. Kan'ei period.

Variant title: Shoju chūkai kobun shinpō zenshū 諸儒註解古文眞寶前集 [諸儒註解古文真宝前集]. Variant title: Kobun shinpō zenshū 古文眞寶前集 [古文真宝前集]. Author/compiler: Uncertain, but formerly attributed to Huang Jian 黄堅. Imprint: N.p., n.d. [Genna period, 1615-24] . No colophon. Description: 10 kan, formerly in 3 satsu, now rebound in 1 vol. western style. No preface. Text of maki 1 preceded by a 5-folio mokuroku 目録. 31.2 x 21.5 cm. Fukurotoji. Movable type. Printing frame 22.3-22.6 x 17.6 cm. Double-line borders all round. Fishtail design on hanshin. Kanbun text, without printed kunten or reading marks. 9 lines to page (double for commentary), 17 characters to line. Headings in mokuroku and throughout text are printed inkoku. Original yellow front cover of satsu 1 only, with faintly embossed design. No title slip. Manuscript gedai (late Edo period) : Kobun zenshū jō 古文前集上.Title from naidai at head of each maki. Title at head of mokuroku: Shoju chūkai kobun shinpō zenshū 諸儒註解古文眞寶前集. Hashiragaki: Kobun zen 古文前 + maki no. + folio no. In a western style half-leather binding. Edition: Undated edition printed from movable type in Genna period. Contents: A selection of notable works of Chinese poetry and prose: poetry in the first series (前集) and prose in the second (後集). The former is a highly selective anthology of verse from Han to Song periods Text of zenshū 前集, containing poetry.
