      1 volume Condition: Good, except for stains on ff. 105-107. Impression: Atozuri, from worn blocks. Seals of ownership: Octagonal British Museum stamp, MVSEVM BRITANNICVM, on blank folio following fol. 138. Manuscript notes: Many interlinear notes and romanised transcriptions in Kaempfer's hand scattered liberally throughout the text. Also three notes on inner front cover: (1) Kennei Tsioo foo ki mokurokf... [etc.] , in Kaempfer's hand; (2) Huisbook van allerlands... [?] , in another hand; (3) Chetqua is not well acquainted with this Character but says the Book relates to something we have not in Europe / Decr. 17. 1770.

Alternative reading of title: Kanai chōhōki. Author/compiler: Unknown. Imprint: Ōsaka, Morita Shōtarō, Genroku 2, 1689. Kanki at end of printed text on fol. 138b reads: 元禄二己巳年 / 二月十六日 / 大坂北御堂前 / 書林 森田庄太郎刋板. Description: 1 kan, 1 satsu, in a box. ff. 138 (folio 134 has been bound between ff. 137 and 138). 7 x 164 mm. (yokohon). Fukurotoji. Blockprint. Printing frame 58 x 147 mm. Single-line borders. Single white fishtail design on hanshin. Hiragana-majiri text, with printed furigana, dakuten and kutōten. 20 lines to page, variable no. of characters to line. Original buff covers, with original printed title slip. Gedai: 家内重寶記全. Title (and reading of title) from naidai at head of mokuroku on fol. 1a. Hashiragaki: [section headings, no general running title] + folio no. Edition: This edition of Genroku 2 (1689) was apparently the only one published. Contents: A household manual of useful, practical information.
