The earlier edition, 7 lines to page, naidai 句解南華眞經, is dated by Kokatsujiban no kenkyū to Keichō period (1596-1615), and the present edition to Keichō / Genna (1596-1624), but a Kan'ei date is perhaps more likely. Contents: Explanatory lectures on the book of Zhuangzi 莊子, also known by the title Nanhuazhen-jing 南華眞經 (Jpn. Nankashin-kyō). Maki 10 is followed by an endnote (後序) and by an 18-folio appendix entitled Shinten sōji jūron 新添莊子十論.
