Description: 2 kan (of 10 ?), 1 satsu, bound in 1 vol. western style. (1) ff. 3 (序), 2 (目録), 39; (2) ff. 3 (目録), 36. 26.3 x 17.2 cm. Fukurotoji. Blockprint. Printing frame 20.7 x 14.7 cm. (average). Double-line borders framing single page. Fishtail design on hanshin. Kanbun text, with printed okurigana and kaeriten. 9 lines to page, 18 characters to line. Light buff front and back covers, probably original, with hand-lettered title slip bearing gedai: 谷響續集一二. Title from naidai. Preface title 谷響續集序. Hashiragaki: Kokkyō zokushū 谷響續集 + maki no. + folio no. In a western style half-leather binding. Edition: The only recorded Edo-period edition. Published in two sections: seishū 正集 and zokushū 続集. Seishū was published in Genroku 2 元禄二年 (1689) and zokushū in Genroku 5 (1692). The present copy (zokushū only) contains no kanki, but the preface is dated Genroku 4 (1691). Contents: A zuihitsu work in kanbun recording Unshō's answers to questions put to him by those who visited him after retirement from the Chishakuin 智積院. The work covers topics drawn from Buddhist and popular literature.
