      2 volumes Condition: Good. No worm damage and few soiled or stained folios. Impression: Atozuri, from moderately worn blocks. Illustrations: A total of 29 sumizuri illustrations; 1 double-page frontispiece and 13 single-page in maki 上, 15 single-page in maki 下. Seals of ownership: None.

Author/compiler: Unknown. Imprint: [Kyōto], Maruya Ichibē, Genroku 9, 1696. Kanki on fol. 32a reads: 元禄丙子九歳正月 二條通柳馬場西口入 ／ 丸屋市兵衛. Description: 2 kan, 2 satsu, in a box. (Maki 上) ff. [1] , 1-10, 11 / 16, 17-26; (maki 下) ff. 1-20, 21 / 26, 27-32. 25.4 x 18.4 cm. Fukurotoji. Blockprint. Printing frame 21.8 x 16.9 cm. Single-line borders. No fishtail design on hanshin. Hiragana-majiri text, with printed dakuten and kutōten. 13 lines to page, 26-28 characters to line. Original mid-blue covers overpainted with a design of willow trees and cloud bands in gold, now tarnished. Original printed title slips, centrally placed, with gedai: Yomikuseiri (tsunogaki) Ise monogatari よみくせ入 (角書) 伊勢物語. No naidai. Hashiragaki: Daiji Ise jō (ge) 大字いせ上 (下) + folio no. Edition: One of the very large number of illustrated Edo-period editions. Contents: Plain text of Ise monogatari 伊勢物語, punctuated to facilitate reading.
