[ Kyōhō 16, 1731 ?] . No colophon. Description: 1 kan, 1 jō 帖, in a box. 3 folds (daiji 題字), 6 folds (illustrations), 15 folds (text). 30.3 x 16.7 cm. Orihon. Blockprint. Printing frame 23.3 cm. (average height). Single-line borders. Hiragana-majiri text with printed furigana. 12 lines to each half-fold, 24-26 characters to line. Original pale-buff covers, overprinted with a design in green. Original printed title slip, centrally placed, in an ornamental frame. Title from gedai: [丹] 後國天橋立圖. No naidai, except in the form 丹後與謝海天橋立之圖 at head of first illustrated fold. Edition: This copy closely resembles Aki no kuni Itsukushima shōkeizu 安藝國厳嚴島勝景圖 (16116.e.5) but lacks the inserted slip on yellow paper, giving Ibaraki (Ogawa) Tazaemon's hanmoto and details of the series Fusō meishōzu 扶桑名勝圖. It is likely that this edition also was published in Kyōhō 16 (1731). Contents: An illustrated guide to Amanohashidate in Tango province, one of the three outstanding scenic views of Japan. Descriptive text, although unsigned, is believed to be by Kaibara Ekiken.
