Description: 5 kan, formerly in 2 satsu, now rebound in 1 vol. western style. (1) ff. [1] (序), 1, 19; (2) ff. 27; (3) ff. 46; (4) ff. 42; (5) ff. 26. 26.2 x 18.8 cm. Fukurotoji. Blockprint. Printing frame 23 x 17.3 cm. (average). Single-line borders. No fishtail design on hanshin. Kanbun (main text) with kunten and kaeriten, alternating with katakana-majiri text (commentary) with kunten and kutōten. 7 lines to page (本文 - large characters), 14 lines (commentary-smaller characters); 18 characters to line (large characters), 28-34 to line (smaller characters). Original fawn front cover of satsu 1 only, with original printed title slip bearing gedai: Jindaikan kōjutsushō 神代巻講述鈔. Title from naidai at head of each maki. Hashiragaki: 日本書紀神代巻講述鈔 + maki no. + folio no. In a western style half-leather binding. Edition: Apparently the only pre-modern edition, published in or soon after the date of Matsushita Kenrin's preface, Kanbun 12, 1672. Contents: Text of the first two chapters of Nihon shoki 日本書紀, Jindai no maki 神代巻, with textual emendations and katakana-majiri commentary by Deguchi Nobuyoshi. Edited from the latter's verbal exposition by Yamamoto Hirotari. Preface written by Matsushita Kenrin.
