Text of maki 1 preceded by a 2-folio preface (叙) and a 3-folio mokuroku (目録). 30.1 x 21.7 cm. Fukurotoji. Movable type. Printing frame 23.6 x 17.9 cm. Double-line borders all round. Vertical rules between columns. 'Flower petal' fishtail design on hanshin. Kanbun text, without printed kunten or reading marks. 8 lines to page (double for commentary), 18 characters to line. Vermilion front cover of satsu 1 only, renewed in late-Edo period, with manuscript gedai of the same period: 古文真寶後集 乾. No title slip. Title from naidai at head of maki 1. Title at head of mokuroku: 諸儒箋解古文眞寶後集. Hashiragaki: Kobun kō 古文后 + maki no. + folio no. In a western style half-leather binding. Edition: An undated movable type edition of c. Keichō period, printed from re-set type of the Keichō 14 (1609) edition, with kanki. Headings in mokuroku and throughout text are printed inkoku. Contents: A selection of notable works of Chinese poetry and prose: poetry in the first series (前集) and prose in the second (後集). The former is a highly selective anthology of verse from Han to Song periods. Text of kōshū 後集, containing prose works.

Seals of ownership: None. Manuscript notes: Neatly written okurigana, kaeriten and kundoku in black, and shubiki and kutōten in red, added c. Genna or Kan'ei period throughout maki 1-4 (satsu 1).
