      1 volume Condition: Good, apart from minor worm damage towards inner margins of maki 下. Fol. 8b of maki 上 missing. Impression: Shozuri or near. Illustrations: 9 single-page sumizuri illustrations, 6 in maki 上, 3 in maki 下. The first, on fol. 3a, has been hand-coloured. Seals of ownership: Square red seal, Rakusei tokiwa Ryūgasan Hōun''in 洛西トキハ竜臥山法雲院 (seal of the Hōun''in, Kyōto), on first and last pages of each maki.

Alternative reading of title: Banshōin-den anō no ki. Variant title: Manshōin anōki 萬松院穴太記 [万松院穴太記]. Author/compiler: Unknown. Imprint: Kyōto , Tanaka Seizaemon, Kanbun 2, 1662. Kanki on fol. 19b of maki 下 reads: 寛文二載龍集壬寅十月上旬 / 洛陽室町通鯉山町 / 田中清左衛門梓行. Description: 2 kan, 1 satsu, in a wrap-around case. (Maki 上) ff. 30; (maki 下) ff. 19. 268 x 180 mm. Fukurotoji. Blockprint. Printing frame 209 x 153 mm. (average). Single-line borders. Single white fishtail design on hanshin. Hiragana-majiri text, with printed furigana, dakuten and kutōten. 10 lines to page, 19-21 characters to line. Original mid-blue covers, with upper part of original printed title slip. Partial gedai reads: 萬松院殿. Mokurokudai and naidai at head of text: Banshōin-den Anō no ki 萬松院殿 (でん) 穴太記 (reading from furigana alongside). Hashiragaki: Anōki jō (ge) 穴太記上 (下) + folio no. Edition: The only edition published in Edo period. Contents: An account of the exploits of Ashikaga Yoshiharu 足利義晴, known as Banshōin or Manshōin, during the rebellion of Miyoshi Chōkei in mid-16th century, ending in Yoshiharu''s flight from the capital and his death at the village of Anō in Ōmi province.
