Kanki on last folio of maki 4 reads: 慶安二年正月吉日 荒木利兵衛 開板. [N.b. Furigana beside the year period (nengō) in this kanki indicates reading Kyōan 慶 (きやう) 安, not Keian.]. Description: 4 kan, 4 satsu, in a box. (Maki 1) ff. [37]; (2) ff. [31]; (3) ff. [34]; (4) ff. [25] . Folios unnumbered. 27.3 x 18.8 cm. Fukurotoji. Movable type. Printing frame 22.5 x 17.3 cm. (approx.). No borders. No vertical rules. No printed hanshin. Hiragana-majiri text with printed furigana. 11 lines to page, 19 characters to line. Renewed light-blue covers without title slips. Handwritten gedai on left: 鴉鷺合戰物語. Title from naidai at head of each maki. Edition: A movable type edition. Contents: A story of the Muromachi period, unusually long for a work of this type, written in the 15th or early 16th century. Often classed as an otogi-zōshi tale.

- Physical Description4 volumes Condition: Fair to good. A clean copy, but with worm damage (unrepaired) in each maki, extensive in places. Many folios are split and discoloured along fore-edge. Impression: Printed from little-worn type. Seals of ownership: Oblong red seal, Onkodō bunko 温故堂文庫 (seal of Hanawa Hokiichi 塙保己一, 1746-1821), on first page of each maki. Also a smaller oblong red seal, Hamada-kō no fu no tosho 浜田侯之府之圖書 (seal of the Matsudaira 松平 family), on the same pages. Manuscript notes: A kanbun version of certain passages in the work appears as headnotes in the upper margins of maki 1-3.
