Scope and Content

This account is largely that of Eliezer Birch describing his spying on the Jacobite rebels for the army, his encounter with them and escape. It also includes five accounts from Samuel Stenson, Mary Rigley, Hannah Walker, Alles Osborne and William Rigley of Birch's escape from the rebels and Samuel Heathcote of Derby's persuance of him.
