The author writes requesting Lady Devonshire to put a word in with the Duke of Devonshire about a place at court for her son, and that the Duke of Argyll will not oppose the Duke of Devonshire talking to the Prince. She adds that she writes because her son did not get the opportunity to ask Lord Devonshire himself before he left for Newmarket.
