Scope and Content

The author writes to Lord Halifax concerning a letter by the Bishop of Lincoln to Lord Halifax called Animadeversions on a popish book, namely the "Prodigal Returned", that he intends to publish with other letters and writings of the Bishop. He asks Lord Halifax if he might borrow the original which does not have the amanuensis' copy mistakes for the printers. Written from London. Signed 'P. Pett'. Addressed to the Marquess of Halifax at his house in St James's Square, London.
