Scope and Content

The author writes that she was grateful for the picture Lady Hartington sent her and that she resolves to send her letters by common post rather than via Devonshire House. She mentions an issue there has been amongst the banks and especially M[rs] Conway and mussels given to ladies every week at Kensington Garden. She writes of Lady Garsey and Lady Betty, her aunt and sister Derby, going to Latimers. She gives her wishes to Lady Russell and writes that Lady Hartington has been toasted. Signed 'H Grantham'.
