Scope and Content

The author writes concerning Sir Robert's advice not to send a letter to the 3rd Duke that he could write himself regarding Dr Cheyney. He also writes concerning: seeing Harry about the Rawlinson affair; action expected in Italy and Count Koningseg sending away his baggage; meeting Colly at Harry Pelham's and going to the Baths; Wardour in Tumbridge and his wish to be in Paris [with his boys]. He mentions "Sir Egg & Bacon" and his compliments to all at Chatsworth, Mr Plummer and co. Signed "R. Edgcumbe".
