Endorsed "Dowager Lady Pembroke aged 87". The author writes concerning her thanks and congratulations on hearing of the safe arrival of Ellis's son and expresses relief at mother and baby being in good health. She asks he write again soon, to be kept informed of their wellbeing, as the baby was early but as stout as if he had delayed his arrival by a month. She apologises for her handwriting "I write strangely but i hope plainly, but my hand shakes, I very seldom write at all". Signed Elizabeth Pembroke and stamped: Richmond 1 March 1825. Written from Richmond Park to Spring Gardens, London.
