The authors, Bryan Allet [rector at Londesborough] and A M Allet write to Lord and Lady Burlington concerning: recommendations for a vacant place in the Londesborough Hospital and any land to come up for tenancy at Londesborough; an account of visiting the military troops [preparing to fight the Jacobite rebels]; Mr Mostyn wanting a hedgehog; sending up Mr [Tarver]'s things from Londesborough after his death; an inventory to be carried out in the presence of Mr Wise, Mr Johnson and Mr Blackburn.
