Scope and Content

The author writes of his travel plans to Lincolnshire and that he was pleased to hear Lord Burlington is alive and well. He writes of: Lord Carleton being ill; Mr Wckham being there; sending letters for him to Stroxton near Grantham; the seat of Sir Godfrey Copley; a visit to Lord Strafford who was not home, and the sight of two melons with Lord Strafford's arms, coronet and star and garter imprinted on them; compliments from Lord Cardigan. He reminds Lord Burlington of his promise to write often whilst away. Written from Brodsworth. Signed 'R Bruce'.
