These two letters written by Elizabeth Percy, Countess of Essex to Lady Russell concern the following topics: being glad of Lady Russell's health and wishing her good company and fine walks in fresh air; the terrible storms they have had; Lady Russell's coming to town with the Duchess of Devonshire; the Widow Guille being with Lady Essex and learning French; Lady Hertford looking big [in her pregnancy]; wishes from Lady Carlisle.
The second letter, possibly to Rachel Cavendish when she was Marchioness of Hartington, concerns Lady Essex's worry for Lady Hartington's son whom she has come to see in London due to some indisposition.
It is not quite certain that these two letters were written by the same E. Essex, but possibly the differences of script are to be accounted for by the fact that the first letter was written in old age.
