In these letters Eva Marie Garrick writes to Lady Hartington concerning: advice from a neighbour and their respective husbands' pursuits of rambling and hunting; dull company; Mr Garrick's respect for Lady Hartington; news from Londesborough; the Langdale ladies visiting; the arrival of Miss Mostyn and the Andersons at Londesborough.

She writes to Lord Hartington concerning: a ring for Lord Hartington; her pleasure at being in Bath; Lady [Burlington's] masquerade dress; keeping it a surprise for Mr Roberts that they shall attend the ball.
