Scope and Content

The author writes concerning Lord Hartington's visit to the Speaker and the sense that Lord Hartington as their new Lord Lieutenant of Ireland is in support of them and against the Primate being councillor and that "the Besberoninans are quite done and gone" [referring to the Earl of Bessborough and his supporters]. The original was written from Wateford and signed "Shapland Carew".
