In these two letters the Duchess of Queensberry writes of: sudden and suprising ill news; her confinment; Lady Hyde visiting plays at Covent Garden; Cockatoo and Lady Betty not yet in London; presence of other Bath acquaintences in town; lost Mr Manners; Lady Rutland; hoping for Lady Hartington's arrival in town; the wedding that happened and her sadness at not being there; hoping her friend follows her example and has a son.
