Administrative / Biographical History

MRCS 1855; LSA 1855; MD Erlang 1864.

Lang trained at University College London and was house surgeon at the Hospital there before coming to Manchester where he held the same position at MRI from 1855 to 1856. Lang was surgeon to the General Hospital and Dispensary for Sick Children in Manchester before being appointed honorary medical officer to Southport Convalescent Hospital and Sea-bathing Infirmary. Lang was killed in Southport in a gas explosion, probably in the 1870s.
